About the Artist
Robert Bernard Armieri
Robert Bernard Armieri is a Canadian artist, musician, and independent creator based in Laval, Quebec.
Born in Ajax, Ontario and raised in Sault Ste. Marie, Ontario, he has spent much of his life pursuing creative work that combines craftsmanship, technical problem-solving, and artistic expression. His work has spanned filmmaking, music production, software and web development, mobile game development, and traditional fine art.
His early work in independent short filmmaking received recognition through festival screenings and competitions, including multiple placements in CTV's Best in Shorts competition. His independent music project, Orlon Gunner, has received airplay on Canadian radio, charted on campus and community stations, and accumulated more than half a million streams online. He is also the co-founder and developer of Housecreep, a website that crowdsources the history of homes and has received international media attention since its launch in 2013.
In recent years, Armieri has devoted particular attention to traditional drawing and painting through independent study and practice, including two years of study through the online program at Watts Atelier of the Arts. He is currently focused primarily on oil portraiture and the development of a larger body of work.
In addition to his visual art practice, he continues to write, record, and produce music from his home studio in Laval, Quebec and welcomes inquiries regarding select art commissions.
